 Europe's future at stake: Meloni on 8,500 migrants reaching Italy



Italian PM Giorgia Meloni said on Sunday "Europe's future is at stake" after around 8,500 migrants reached the Mediterranean island of Lampedusa in three days. Meloni, who met European Commission's chief Ursula von der Leyen, said the bloc needed to work together to face the challenges of uncontrolled migration. Over 1,27,000 migrants have arrived at Italy's shores this year.
